I usually have good luck finding the chicks I need here. It’s one of those places I’ve come to count on, and that makes a difference when you’re trying to keep things moving and take care of what matters at home.

I ordered sexed pullets and, for the most part, everything was as expected. One did turn out to be a rooster, which was disappointing, but I get that sexing isn’t guaranteed 100%. I’d probably order again, but next time I’ll be a little more careful and check them over sooner so I’m not caught off guard.

The chicks are mostly calm and easy to be around. One of them is a little jumpy, because apparently existing peacefully is just too much to ask. Still, they’re sweet birds overall.

I reached out because I didn’t want to waste time trying to figure it all out on my own, i’m glad I did. They helped me right away and made the whole thing feel a lot easier than I expected.

My chicks arrived safe, warm, and in great shape. I was impressed with how sturdy the box was, and the bedding seemed really comfortable for them. Everything was labeled clearly enough for me, and overall I’m really happy with how carefully they packed it.

I ordered 18 chicks from Meyer Hatchery, i was so relieved when every single one showed up alive, warm, and chirping their little heads off. The box was in good shape, and the heat pack was still warm, which really mattered to me because shipping live animals isn’t something a company should take lightly.

I was nervous about having chicks shipped, but they clearly handled it the right way. After a little water, the chicks perked up and settled in fast. It feels only fair to give credit where it’s due when a hatchery does right by the animals and the customer, and I’d order from them again...

Just wanted to put this out there for anyone thinking about ordering hatching eggs from Meyer: my experience was actually really good. I know shipped eggs can be a total gamble, so I wasn’t expecting too much, but most of the eggs looked fertile and developed well. I ended up with a nice hatch rate for shipped eggs, which surprised me. Obviously results can vary with shipping and incubation, so don’t go in expecting perfection, but based on my order, I’d definitely buy from them again.

I had an issue with my order and reached out to them about getting a refund or replacement. At first, I was irritated because it felt like everything was taking longer than it should, and I had to follow up to keep things moving. But then, once they finally got it sorted, I was like, okay, fair enough. They didn’t ignore me, and the refund itself was handled fairly. Still, the whole process wasn’t exactly smooth. Not awful, not amazing, just kind of average.

The chicks showed up looking alert and lively for the most part. One seemed a little slow at first, but after some water and getting warmed up, it perked up within a bit. They’re eating well now and running around like normal. I’d give it around 4 stars mainly because the box was kind of messy when it arrived.

I went ahead and added the vaccination option for my chicks, and honestly... I’m glad I did. Everything went really smoothly. They showed up healthy, active, and so far, no issues at all. Since I’m still new to raising chickens, it gave me a little extra peace of mind. Meyer Hatchery made the whole thing simple, and yeah... I’d definitely choose it again.
